I got new braces yesterday,
It's supposed to stop my tooth decay.
At first my teeth started to hurt,
But to cheer me up they got me a new shirt.
On the shirt it said Michael Teichman Orthodontist,
For he is a man who is very honest.
I'm looking forward to my teeth being straight,
But it will take a while, and I'll have to wait.
I have to brush my braces each day,
And I know that my toothbrush won't be far away.
I'll learn patience as I go,
But when they come off it will be worth it to show.
I thank God for allowing me to get braces,
For not everyone can get them in all cases.
I promise to keep them clean and bright,
So that my teeth will come out all nice and white.
If you've had braces in the past,
Then you know that the time will go by fast.
Once they're off I'll be able to chew,
So my teeth will be bright when I smile at you.
